Crafting small-lot, boutique wines from the extraordinary vineyards of Sonoma County, California.
“Made from Merlot (70 percent) and cabernet grown at high elevations on Pine Mountain above the Alexander Valley, this is black in color and mouthcoating in weight. As it takes on air, the rich oak retreats, and the wine shows more red fruit than the color would imply. Cellar it for several years, to serve it with grilled lamb chops.”
Last year we experienced unprecedented demand for our wines, and our Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir sold out.
We are now happy to to offer you our new releases. The 2006 Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon and 2006 Alexander Valley Ispiri are available now, and our 2007 Russian River Valley Pinot Noir will be available later this Spring.
Ah, much ado about the latest pinot noir, you say? Cabernet sauvignon? No, this tender story is about merlot.
Eric Guerra Wines is a boutique Sonoma County producer devoted, in the face of conventional wisdom, to making high-end merlot. Founder Eric Guerra and winemaker Leslie Sisneros are both veterans of Kendall-Jackson, where they bonded over the brute artistry of Bruce Springsteen (Guerra grew up in New Jersey) and the majestically soft, velvety merlots of California and Bordeaux.
